Gates of Olympus Max Win: How 5,000x Works
The most Gates of Olympus can pay in one round is 5,000 times your bet. Here's what that is in dollars, what happens when a round reaches it, how stake limits cap it in the UK and Germany, how rare it is, and how the sequels raise it to 50,000x.

The rule: what happens at 5,000x
The max win is a cap on the total win of one round: the base spin, all its tumbles and, if triggered, the whole free spins round. The game's rules say that if the total win of a round reaches 5,000x the bet, the round immediately ends, the win is awarded up to the cap, and all remaining features are forfeited.
In practice that means unplayed free spins disappear. If you hit 5,000x on free spin 6, spins 7 to 15 are never played. It also means a single round can't pay more than 5,000x, however many orbs land.
The cap is measured against your base bet. With the Ante Bet on, a $1 spin costs $1.25, but the max win is still 5,000 times $1.
5,000x in dollars
The minimum bet is $0.20, so the smallest possible max win is $1,000. The top bet is set by the casino: $100 is common, and the version we checked allowed €300. Many pages quote "$500,000" as the Gates of Olympus max win; that's only true at a $100 bet where the casino allows it.

How stake limits cap the max win
Because the max win is a multiple of the bet, any limit on the bet limits the top prize too. Two big markets have stake caps for online slots.

UK limits from the Gambling Commission (£5 since April 2025, £2 for ages 18–24 since May 2025). In the UK the Ante Bet counts toward the stake, so with it on the base bet can be no more than £4. German limits from the GGL; the higher limits apply only at approved operators to players 21+ under extra monitoring.
How rare is a 5,000x win?
Pragmatic Play doesn't publish the odds, and the game's rules don't either. Review sites that model the game give two figures: about 1 in 697,350 spins (BigWinBoard, AskGamblers) and about 1 in 718,391 (OLBG, AboutSlots). Either way, it's well under one chance in a million per session.
To put that in time: at 600 spins an hour, 700,000 spins is more than 1,100 hours of play, and the odds don't improve because you've been playing for a while. Most players will never see the cap. A big Gates of Olympus win in real life is usually a few hundred times the bet.
OLBG also puts any win of 1,000x or more at about once in 46,000 spins.
Playing longer, raising the bet or buying bonuses doesn't bring the cap "closer". Every spin has the same tiny chance. Set a budget as if the max win didn't exist.
